Database Linking

How would I link the PHPBB user database to pull names, passwords and user date from another database? Or will they be separate forever? I'm assuming this is done the SQL level?

Well, it all depends on what you are doing I suppose. You could do a full dump from one DB, and the extract the data from there, or dump only what you want and then insert it into a new DB. Do you want to explain a little bit more on what your project is?
